Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denílson Moraes made the kick off and thus started the match. The tension between the Brusque and the Mesota players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the match, Juninho da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimir Cruz. Brusque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juninho da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Juninho da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Víktor Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nildo Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ian Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesota's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho da Costa in the 23rd minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Mesota got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Faustino. Brusque's Cristian Leal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mesota. Mesota had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
