Afonsinho Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dé Pinho in the 25th minute. When Cipriano Mello fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toco Y me Voy's protests and gave Cipriano Mello a yellow card for diving instead. Cipriano Mello hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Magno Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonsinho Cavalcante. Magno Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. 32 minutes into the match, Dário Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro do Vale. River Playte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dário Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. River Playte's Juarês Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of River Playte booed when Toco Y me Voy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, River Playte's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Santos came free, but Álvaro do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Amaral hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Amaral in the 45th managed to get into a good position. Fred Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Álvaro do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
