Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roger da Costa started the match with the kick off. Dráusio Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger da Costa in the 6th minute of the match. Dráusio Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger da Costa in the 8th minute of play. Roger da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Formosa's Jardel Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Richard Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubinho Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Fiori Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riachao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formosa the free kick. Fiori Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, one of Riachao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Riachao. Richard Antunes went to the wrong direction when Jailson Pontes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Rubinho Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37thth minute of the game Roger da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formosa's Dráusio Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Formosa's goal looked a bit too open when Roger da Costa came free, but Dráusio Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger da Costa in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Cunha was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Formosa's Jardel Cunha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jardel Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Formosa's goalkeeper Dráusio Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Gomes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Dráusio Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger da Costa in the 72nd minute of play. Jardel Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Richard Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
