William Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Moraes made a huge save. Wiliam Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Custódio Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, S.C. Drummond Piraju's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Paiva came free, but Carlos Eduardo Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Palestina FC's William Terra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Eduardo Moraes. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the match, Palestina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Bittencourt came free, but Custódio Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Paiva in the 29th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Moraes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when William Terra sent off a good shot on target. Custódio Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Bittencourt in the 32nd minute of play. Valdo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Moraes having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Terra in the 38th minute. If Valdo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palestina FC were furious when Giovanni Cordeiro was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palestina FC! The referee gave S.C. Drummond Piraju a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Denílson Cearense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palestina FC's Custódio Pires. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 58th minute of the match Dalmo Toscano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Custódio Pires skillfully saved the ball. In the 59th minute Matías Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Custódio Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero Lucas got free with Custódio Pires in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gugu Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Palestina FC's Ronaldo Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute William Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Matías Tande came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the S.C. Drummond Piraju fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Tande couldn't finish the play. The supporters of S.C. Drummond Piraju booed when Palestina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Palestina FC got a freekick which was hit by Germano Vinhas. A collision led to Palestina FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. William Terra hit a great ball. Matías Tande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Custódio Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Matías Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Custódio Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Moraes came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestina FC's Gugu Prado. But to his dismay, Gugu Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palestina FC had won after a very even match.
