Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Júlio Dionísio took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Elano Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jiquiri and the Catarinense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jiquiri getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Elano Leme hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jiquiri's zone, Pedro Luiz Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Figueiredo came out of the goal and Pedro Luiz Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Souza in the 6th minute of play. When Catarinense Futebol Clube's Nestor Valadares in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jiquiri's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Catarinense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Manfredo dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Leme. Dedê Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexsandro Souza's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Mota in the 16th minute of play forced Jiquiri's goalkeeper Dedê Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedê Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Mota in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Alexsandro Souza made a precise shot to the right of Dedê Figueiredo. Jiquiri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Júlio Dionísio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Manfredo dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Alexsandro Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton França hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Jiquiri's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Souza came free, but Dedê Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luiz Mota was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Catarinense Futebol Clube's Remigiusz Ronaldinho got a free kick in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Catarinense Futebol Clube's zone, Júlio Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo dos Santos came out of the goal and Júlio Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kauan Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jiquiri defense, Alexsandro Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedê Figueiredo. The Jiquiri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedê Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. After 78 minutes of play, Catarinense Futebol Clube's Alexsandro Souza made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedê Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elano Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Manfredo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Catarinense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Dionísio came free, but Manfredo dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulinho Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Paulinho Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Pedro Luiz Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Jiquiri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Catarinense Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
