Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eugênio Severo got the match started through his kick off. Eugênio Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Neves having to interfere. Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Meoas defense, Eugênio Severo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Neves. The Meoas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Neves should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Cajubi's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Valle came free, but Dé Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro sped through Cajubi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dé Maciel. Breno Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Neves having to interfere. Dé Maciel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dé Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Lúcio Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Meoas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Vieira couldn't finish the play. Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dé Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. Dé Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro in the 53rd minute of the match. After 57 played minutes, Meoas's Alberto Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé Maciel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meoas reached it. When Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Meoas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cajubi's zone, Tarcisio Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Maciel came out of the goal and Tarcisio Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cajubi's Zé Paulo Braga got a free kick in the 66th minute. Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dé Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lúcio Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Meoas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Vieira couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Vieira in the 77th minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Lúcio Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajubi's Dé Maciel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Meoas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Lúcio Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, Meoas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Teles to maneuver through the defense. Dé Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meoas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Eduardo Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Eusébio Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cajubi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meoas the free kick. 95 minutes into the match, Meoas's Lúcio Vieira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Meoas had played much better football throughout.
