The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Moisés de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nilson Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Monteiro having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Jaeteua EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Dias came free, but Nico Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nico Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilson Dias went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Mauriti getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Matheus Eger hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo de Souza got free with Nico Monteiro in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the game, Rodrigo de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaeteua EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mauriti the free kick. Rômulo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Monteiro having to interfere. Jaeteua EC's Nico Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Jaeteua EC from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cipriano Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Nilson Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilson Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jaeteua EC's zone, Rômulo de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Monteiro came out of the goal and Rômulo de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Monteiro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Nilson Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mauriti's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Juan Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonçalo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cipriano Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaeteua EC's Nico Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Dionísio in the 73rd minute of play. Cipriano Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Dias in the 79th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Jaeteua EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauriti were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jaeteua EC for a fine match.
