In the 3rd match minute, Itaboraí FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Senna to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Linhares having to interfere. Claudinei Brodel did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Roger Linhares 10 minutes into the match. When Víktor Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the UBERABA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Alcântara couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 15 in the game by Claudinei Brodel from a close distance when the talented Roger Linhares managed to make a qualified save. Itaboraí FC's players were relieved. Roger Linhares made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Kiko de Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. Víktor Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, UBERABA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After 26th play minutes Paulo José Meireles shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Roger Linhares and just under the crossbar into goal. Claudinei Brodel struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Roger Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UBERABA. Claudinei Brodel in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roger Linhares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paulo José Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Linhares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo José Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudinei Brodels short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Roger Linhares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roger Linhares made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Claudinei Brodel sent off a good shot on target. Roger Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Brodel's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Kiko de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Linhares having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei Brodel made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Zé Carlos Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaboraí FC and the UBERABA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Carlos Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes, Claudinei Brodel made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Itaboraí FC's Roger Linhares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudinei Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Roger Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Linhares having to interfere. Zé Peres took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Linhares. Roger Linhares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Kaká Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The UBERABA fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when UBERABA's Claudinei Brodel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zé Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Linhares having to make a save. Itaboraí FC's Roger Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko de Mendonça in the 77th minute of play. Roger Linhares came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by UBERABA's Claudinei Brodel. But to his dismay, Claudinei Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Paulo José Meireles struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Roger Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UBERABA. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Claudinei Brodel put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roger Linhares. Claudinei Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Claudinei Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
