Ulisses Linares's late challenge caught a Indianopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some careless play in the Villas Matilde Football defense, Frank Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho de Sena. The Villas Matilde Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho de Sena should have stopped the shot. After 85 played minutes Villas Matilde Football got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Ramalho. Elder Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Claudinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Indianopolis left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Villas Matilde Football.
