Reinaldo Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeu Corrêa went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Vicente Macedo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, FC Ponte Alta Norte's Haydar Koçaş threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felippe de Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Reinaldo Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Sasha, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ponte Alta Norte's zone, Agostinho Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Perez came out of the goal and Agostinho Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reinaldo Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Zanette in the 33rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felippe de Brito during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST booed when FC Ponte Alta Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th match minute, FC Ponte Alta Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. FC Ponte Alta Norte's Reinaldo Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Corrêa in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeu Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Rodolfo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Sasha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reinaldo Perez came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Sasha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 57th minute. Haydar Koçaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haydar Koçaş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe de Brito in the 78th minute of play. Felippe de Brito took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haydar Koçaş. Haydar Koçaş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Felippe de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haydar Koçaş having to interfere. Felippe de Brito took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haydar Koçaş. Haydar Koçaş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. The audience was convinced that Felippe de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haydar Koçaş was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Tadeu Corrêa in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Reinaldo Perez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
