After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Caco Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrelas de Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo de Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Estrelas de Roma's zone, Frank Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Cerezo came out of the goal and Frank Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 played minutes, Clube Atlético Trovão's Paulo Peixoto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Cerezo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético Trovão reached it. In the 12th match minute, Estrelas de Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Erivaldo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Bittencourt in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Trovão's Eugênio Zilles got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Clube Atlético Trovão booed when Estrelas de Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Durval Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Trovão. Caco Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Erivaldo de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, Estrelas de Roma's Caco Bittencourt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erivaldo de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durval Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Erivaldo de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Cacá Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Caco Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Estrelas de Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Bittencourt in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caco Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Estrelas de Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Peixoto shot from long distance in the 45th minute, but Durval Cerezo was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Luiz Fernando Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías de Amorim made a kick off. Luiz Fernando Gaspar hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Erivaldo de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caco Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 58th match minute, Estrelas de Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Trovão's goalkeeper Erivaldo de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Bittencourt. The throw-in from Aluísio Borges in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Estrelas de Roma's Aluísio Teixeira. 71 minutes into the game, Eugênio Zilles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético Trovão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrelas de Roma the free kick. Eugênio Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Erivaldo de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Caco Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Erivaldo de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Bittencourt in the 84th minute. Estrelas de Roma's Aluísio Teixeira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aluísio Borges, made in the 86th minute of the game. If Caco Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caco Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo de Amorim having to interfere. Zézinho Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Erivaldo de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caco Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute of the game, Dé Maciel landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Eugênio Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
