The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, André Luís Guimarães made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Calcere's Dieguinho Souza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredão Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho Souza having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Hortêncio Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dieguinho Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Guimarães in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Calcere getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Abelardo Varela hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Samuca Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calcere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 36th match minute, Calcere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Cunha to maneuver through the defense. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Calcere's Alfredão Prado threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Medeiros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Calcere's Dieguinho Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Guimarães in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Tom Original's André Luís Guimarães made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dieguinho Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Tom Original's Virgílio Gerber got a free kick in the 88th minute. Frank Moura hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Tom Original's Alfredão Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Tom Original from getting a goal against them. Alfredão Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Medeiros in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tom Original fully deserved thier win.
