Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Paulista FC's Giovani Prado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Adelino Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Geral's Ernani Arósio got a free kick in the 10th minute. Christian Sabóia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Machado went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Arce in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adelino Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Fernandão Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulista FC's José Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Arce in the 26th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Geral's Antônio Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Maranhense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Paulista FC's zone, Adelino Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maranhense came out of the goal and Adelino Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wanderson Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Christian Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Cordeiro got free with José Maranhense in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovani Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Sabóia having to interfere. The Geral players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paulista FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Arce made a kick off. Antônio Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. José Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilson Lira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. José Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Cordeiro in the 62nd minute of the match. When Antônio Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Geral fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. José Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandão Netto hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, Antônio Cordeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. José Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adelino Arce scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maranhense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antônio Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. José Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
