Ronnie Elliott hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Dorival Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronnie Elliott in the 28th minute of the match. Luís Guilherme Chavess short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Joel Passos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edmundo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Joel Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reinaldo Garcia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joel Passos came out and tried to block the shot, but Reinaldo Garcia slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Tuparetama's goal looked a bit too open when Ronnie Elliott came free, but Dorival Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Araújo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Glauco Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Elliott in the 45th minute of play forced Tuparetama's goalkeeper Dorival Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Ronnie Elliott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Joel Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Garcia in the 66th minute of play. Ronnie Elliott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Prata having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Tuparetama got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Leme. A hard shot 80 in the game by Ronnie Elliott from a close distance when the talented Dorival Prata managed to make a qualified save. Tuparetama's players were relieved. Reinaldo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Tuparetama got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Chaves. Dito Veiga hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Dorival Prata made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ronnie Elliott sent off a good shot on target. Ronnie Elliott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Despite being the better team, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
