Cipriano Furlan made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Gino Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, Mostardos's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Barreto came free, but Cipriano Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Furlan came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Viannopolis's Cássio Melo. But to his dismay, Cássio Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Cipriano Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cássio Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Adriano Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Furlan was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the game, Betão Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Viannopolis fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mostardos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
