Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) César Ceresso made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandinho Quintal in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 played minutes Placas got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Matos. In the 11thth minute of the game Nando Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Placas's Bruno Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paulo Renato Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mendes EC's Durval Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Ceresso in the 14th minute of play. Paulo Renato Guedes in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Durval Neves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If César Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Durval Neves made a huge save. When Nando Seco came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mendes EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Seco couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Placas's zone, Fernandinho Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Faria came out of the goal and Fernandinho Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nando Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bruno Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Furtado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Faria. Placas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute César Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Faria having to make a save. Bruno Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes in the game, Paulo Renato Guedes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Durval Neves having to interfere.

The wind increased when Nando Seco made the kick off in the second half. If Fernandinho Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Renato Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Durval Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulo Renato Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes, Placas's Aluísio Faria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Placas reached it. Andrézinho Batista's late challenge caught a Mendes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrézinho Batista helped the player get up and apologised. Andrézinho Batista hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Mendes EC's Durval Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Guedes in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Placas's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Seco came free, but Bruno Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Fernandinho Quintal could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Bruno Faria however easily saved by the left post. If César Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrézinho Batista hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Paulo Renato Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Placas's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Renato Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Placas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
