Leonardo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Terra in the 10th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Manuel Vale in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Diogo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerrito SS's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute Gino Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zorks FC's Leonardo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Terra in the 30th minute of play. Eliseu Fontes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. A collision led to Zorks FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tião Seco hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Gino Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerrito SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gino Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leonardo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Leonardo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Caetano Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurinho Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Leonardo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Manuel Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manuel Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 minutes of play, Cerrito SS's Manuel Vale made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Medeiros hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Zorks FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gino Terra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Vale in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Queiroz saved Zorks FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Gino Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Queiroz was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. If Gino Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cerrito SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
