With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandrinho da Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Marques in the 9th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Puma's goalkeeper Sandrinho da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Atlético Puma's Sandrinho da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Marques in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Puma's Raúl Massa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Álvaro Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Diogo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 29th play minutes Caetano Marques shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sandrinho da Mata and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Diogo Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho da Mata was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Clube Atlético Puma's Álvaro Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandrinho da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Marques in the 41st minute of the match. Chiquinho Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Caetano Marques's late challenge caught a Clube Atlético Puma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Marques helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caetano Marques made a kick off. Sandrinho da Mata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caetano Marques showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Raúl Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Queiroz having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Raúl Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho da Mata having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Puma's Duda Munhoz got a free kick in the 78th minute. Sandrinho da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Marques in the 79th minute of play. Clube Atlético Puma's Raúl Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Chiquinho Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Clube Atlético Puma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Linhares couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Puma's zone, Caetano Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho da Mata came out of the goal and Caetano Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raúl Massa scored 1-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Caetano Marques dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sandrinho da Mata, 1-4. Sandrinho da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zorks FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
