Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clube Estrela Amadora's Duarte Palmeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Vítor Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Vítor Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Palmeira in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Moraes saved Matina from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Matina's zone, Duarte Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Moraes came out of the goal and Duarte Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matina's Alexandre Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Palmeira in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Haroldo Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Estrela Amadora and the Matina players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Leonardo Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Matina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Sampaio couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Matina's goalkeeper Alexandre Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandre Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duarte Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Clube Estrela Amadora were awarded a corner. Claudinei Meireles went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Claudinei Meireles got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexandre Moraes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 27 minutes into the match, Clube Estrela Amadora's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Goiano came free, but Manolo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Juan Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Matina's zone, Duarte Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Moraes came out of the goal and Duarte Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Leonardo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Palmeiras short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Alexandre Moraes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Palmeira in the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Sampaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giovanni Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Alexandre Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Estrela Amadora. After having played for 53 minutes, Gugu Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Duarte Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Moraes having to interfere. Manolo Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gugu Goiano sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th match minute, Matina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Clube Estrela Amadora getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Juan Lopes hit a great ball. Geovanni Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Claudinei Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duarte Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alexandre Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gugu Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolo Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Goiano in the 94th minute. Giovanni Carvalho scored 2-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Clube Estrela Amadora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
