Rogério Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agostinho Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Muller's Agostinho Lopes got control of the ball when Maurinho Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Ibatui AD's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Recife came free, but Vicente Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Fernando Lopez put in a rough tackle. 9 minutes into the game, one of Ibatui AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Sabino Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muller's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabino Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Messias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomé Nóbrega during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Ibatui AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Willian Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Vicente Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Sabino Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muller fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Agostinho Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogério Loureiro went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Agostinho Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibatui AD. After a defensive mix-up in Muller's zone, Rogério Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agostinho Lopes came out of the goal and Rogério Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ibatui AD had played much better football throughout.
