The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Custódio in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Passaxunga booed when Voador Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sérgio Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Edgard Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luís Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Daniel Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgard Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voador Futebol Clube's Erik Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Varela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erik Custódio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 36th minute, Sérgio Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caetano Damião came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Passaxunga's Sérgio Quadros. But to his dismay, Sérgio Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Custódio to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Custódio in the 54th minute of play forced Passaxunga's goalkeeper Daniel Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl Arce hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Passaxunga's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Custódio came free, but Daniel Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wágner Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wágner Massa came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Voador Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Massa couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, Edgard Macedo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Caetano Damião, passed just outside the right post. Caetano Damião made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sérgio Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Voador Futebol Clube's Caetano Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Voador Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Wágner Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Massa in the 92nd minute of play forced Passaxunga's goalkeeper Daniel Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
