In the 10thth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Varela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galáticos RN - FDFDF's Egídio Breckenfeld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Luiz Gustavo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, SC INTERNACIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Lara to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, SC INTERNACIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Penha came free, but Paulo José Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Varela in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luiz Gustavo Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC INTERNACIONAL's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Gustavo Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
