The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredinho Freire during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matías Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. Campinense FC's Alexandre Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Soares in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogério Soares in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Martins saved Campinense FC from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Campinense FC's Murillo Massa threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matías Bueno, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Murillo Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Bueno's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Nelsinho Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandre Martins. Campinense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raí Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Martins having to interfere. In the 65th minute Rogério Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Martins came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Bataipora's Rogério Soares. But to his dismay, Rogério Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Tony Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Murillo Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campinense FC. Rogério Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Alexandre Martins came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Bataipora's Alfredinho Freire. But to his dismay, Alfredinho Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bataipora fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Bataipora's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
