Dito Castro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Embauval SC's Zeca Vasconcelos shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Demy de Ridder fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Embauval SC's protests and gave Demy de Ridder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Demy de Ridder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Frederico de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Valle. Embauval SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederico de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Zeca Vasconcelos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Dito Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Bernardinho Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cariutaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute of the match Embauval SC got a corner. Cariutaba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristóvão Pitta ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristóvão Pitta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dito Castro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zeca Vasconcelos had several of the Cariutaba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Dito Castro as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Zeca Vasconcelos took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Dito Castro to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Dito Castro managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Embauval SC's Zeca Vasconcelos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Embauval SC's Flávio Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Cerezo in the 36th minute of play. Cariutaba's Dito Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cariutaba from getting a goal against them. Cariutaba's Dito Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Sampaio in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Embauval SC booed when Cariutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeca Vasconcelos to make the kick off. When Vitinho Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Embauval SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Sampaio couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute, Zeca Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 59 minutes on the clock, Hamílton Vides commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cariutaba! Dito Castro had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Cristóvão Pitta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Flávio Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Aílton Oliveira took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Flávio Valle to make any attempt to save it. Cristóvão Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Castro having to interfere. When Walery Szkaradek came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Embauval SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walery Szkaradek couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute Zeca Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Cariutaba's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Vasconcelos came free, but Dito Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Cariutaba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Embauval SC:s goal. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Embauval SC. Cristóvão Pitta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dito Castro. 5-3. In the 87th minute, Cariutaba's Frederico de Andrade dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-4. In the 90th minute, Zeca Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeca Vasconcelos in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dito Castro saved Cariutaba from getting behind. Frederico de Andrade succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-5 in the 98th playminute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
