Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zeca Vasconcelos took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Embauval SC booed when Cariutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Vitinho Sampaio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cariutaba's Dito Castro. Dito Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Aílton Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aílton Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Flávio Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Castro having to interfere. If Zeca Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Mané Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico de Andrade got free with Flávio Valle in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dito Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Vasconcelos in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Bernardinho Cerezo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Flávio Valle, passed just outside the right post. Dito Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeca Vasconcelos went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Zeca Vasconcelos sped through Cariutaba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dito Castro.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardinho Cerezo to make the kick off. Flávio Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Frederico de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Zeca Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Embauval SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dito Castro made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Walery Szkaradek sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Zeca Vasconcelos sped through Cariutaba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dito Castro. After a rather tough play, Embauval SC's Demy de Ridder got a free kick in the 68th minute. Cariutaba's Dito Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Vasconcelos in the 71st minute of play. Cristóvão Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Castro having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Bernardinho Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Aílton Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Valle. Embauval SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aílton Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Zeca Vasconcelos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Dito Castro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Embauval SC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cristóvão Pitta hit a great ball. When Walery Szkaradek fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Embauval SC's protests and gave Walery Szkaradek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Walery Szkaradek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cariutaba getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Magno Gomes hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Embauval SC's Zeca Vasconcelos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dito Castro. That made the score 1-5 after 95 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Embauval SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
