Guariuba FC's Jacinto de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wellington Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho Veiga in the 23rd minute. In the 23rd minute, Orlando Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Morumbi EC's zone, Adrianinho Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Zanette came out of the goal and Adrianinho Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes, Guariuba FC's Emanuel Tasso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wellington Zanette came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guariuba FC reached it. Adrianinho Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Zanette having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Morumbi EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto de Carvalho came free, but Wellington Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Adrianinho Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Zanette having to interfere. Wellington Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho Veiga in the 37th minute. Morumbi EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jacinto de Carvalho 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After 43 minutes of play, Morumbi EC's Fernandinho Melo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natanael Arantes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 47 minutes, Orlando Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morumbi EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Fernandinho Melo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 54th playminute. In the 62nd minute, Adrianinho Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Wellington Zanette. Morumbi EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Morumbi EC's Wellington Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Veiga in the 71st minute of play. Adrianinho Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Wellington Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Zanette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto de Carvalho in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wellington Zanette saved Morumbi EC from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Adrianinho Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Adrianinho Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Jacinto de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guariuba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Morumbi EC booed when Guariuba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guariuba FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
