With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Ferraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Arikemes EC booed when Contendas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Arikemes EC's Cássio Pinheiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovânio Ferraz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sidnei Alcântara's late challenge caught a Contendas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. The Contendas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arikemes EC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. When Michel Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arikemes EC's protests and gave Michel Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Arikemes EC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Guedes. In the 63rd minute, Michel Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tostão Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Souto in the 70th minute of the match. When Tião Sena fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Contendas's protests and gave Tião Sena a yellow card for diving instead. The Arikemes EC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Arikemes EC's Michel Guedes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Michel Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Arikemes EC's Cássio Pinheiro in 84 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Geovânio Ferraz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Geovânio Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Pinheiro in the 85th minute of the match. Michel Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Geovânio Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arikemes EC's Michel Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlinhos Zanette hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Contendas's Carlinhos Zanette fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Tostão Pena was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Fausto Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
