An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Pires in the 14th minute of play forced FAMILIA F.S GUARULHOS's goalkeeper Paulo José Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio Saldanha got free with Paulo José Torres in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

In the 51st minute, Ulysses Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo José Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Paulo José Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the game, Uomaloli's Vito Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo José Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 88th minute, Andrézinho Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Patrick Pires put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo José Torres. Paulo José Torres came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Uomaloli's Olívio Saldanha. But to his dismay, Olívio Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. FAMILIA F.S GUARULHOS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
