Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Edgard Peixoto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Milha defense, Gildo Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauan Pereira. The Milha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauan Pereira should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Meireles in the 6th minute of play forced Milha's goalkeeper Cauan Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Milha's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Cruz came free, but Cauan Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 played minutes GRÊMIO got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Meireles. Cauan Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Paulo Renato Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dinei Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Edgard Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paulo Renato Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GRÊMIO's protests and gave Paulo Renato Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Paulo Renato Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-2 became the score in the 24th minute when Gildo Souto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Milha's Frederico Araújo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dinei Trigo but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Cruz in the 29th minute of play forced Milha's goalkeeper Cauan Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gerson Cavalcante hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Milha's Frederico Araújo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the game, GRÊMIO's Norberto Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauan Pereira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After having played for 48 minutes, Gildo Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GRÊMIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Norberto Meireles made the kick off in the second half. If André Luís Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Renato Cruz in the 57th minute. Cauan Pereira made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Norberto Meireles sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Edgard Peixoto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Cauan Pereira was a little too slow when Norberto Meireles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-4. Milha's Cauan Pereira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Milha from getting a goal against them. Milha's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gildo Souto 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when Milha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as GRÊMIO's Paulo Renato Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cauan Pereira. That made the score 1-7 after 82 minutes of play. Cauan Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Cruz in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, GRÊMIO's Percy do Valle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauan Pereira. Cauan Pereira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. The nice shot from Norberto Meireles in the 90thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Cauan Pereira had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Renato Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Cauan Pereira. Milha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-9.
