Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Canoas AD's Dário Loureiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Moraes in the 7th minute of play forced Canoas AD's goalkeeper Paulo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Dário Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canoas AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Porto Sairú F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cipriano Pontes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Cipriano Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Loureiro in the 17th minute of the match. Dário Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eduardo Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Porto Sairú F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dário Loureiro came free, but Eduardo Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Porto Sairú F.C.'s zone, Cipriano Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Dracena came out of the goal and Cipriano Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Eduardo Dracena made a huge save. Porto Sairú F.C.'s Cristiano Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porto Sairú F.C.'s Eduardo Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Porto Sairú F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Fernandinho Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porto Sairú F.C.'s protests and gave Fernandinho Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. 35 minutes into the game, Dário Loureiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Eduardo Dracena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Porto Sairú F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Pontes came free, but Eduardo Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40th play minutes Cipriano Pontes shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Eduardo Dracena and just under the crossbar into goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Brodel was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Porto Sairú F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dário Loureiro came free, but Eduardo Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Porto Sairú F.C.'s Eduardo Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Pontes in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Canoas AD getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dário Loureiro hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Diego Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Dracena. Porto Sairú F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 74th minute Dário Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game Dário Loureiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porto Sairú F.C.'s Eduardo Dracena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dário Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Dracena having to interfere. Cipriano Pontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Pontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Dário Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Eduardo Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canoas AD. If Dário Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canoas AD's Régis Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Diego Pena fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canoas AD's protests and gave Diego Pena a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Canoas AD got a freekick which was hit by Diego Pena. Canoas AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Túlio Brodel 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canoas AD had played much better football throughout.
