Lauro Quirino came out of the goal and Jacinto Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Super Estrelas's Lauro Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Super Estrelas from getting a goal against them. When Nilton Faustino came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Super Estrelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Faustino couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Jandira SS's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Vennerdal came free, but Mário Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Faustino in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Super Estrelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Correia to maneuver through the defense. Deivid Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Quirino having to interfere. The Super Estrelas fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Super Estrelas's Nilton Faustino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mário Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ief Cambuquira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The referee ignored Super Estrelas's protests and gave Breno Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jandira SS booed when Super Estrelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Super Estrelas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jandira SS throughout the match.
