In the 30th minute Chiquinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Arantes in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Ouricangas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Arantes came free, but Vladimir Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Ouricangas SC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Pombal. Gabriel Peixoto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Juru's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Chiquinho Prata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Fantini having to make a save. A collision led to Juru getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Erik Arruda hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Chiquinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes, Juru's Enrique Toscano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vladimir Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juru reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ouricangas SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nuno Arruda in the 55th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Juru's goalie and right to Pedro Luiz Pombal. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Juru's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 60 minutes into the game, Juru's Oswaldo Arantes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimir Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ouricangas SC's Vladimir Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Peixoto in the 64th minute of play. Ricardo Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Fantini having to interfere. Marcus Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquinho Prata's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Ricardo Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Juru got a freekick which was hit by Joel Carneiro. In the 81st minute, Ricardo Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erik Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ouricangas SC booed when Juru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiquinho Prata struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marcus Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ouricangas SC. After a rather tough play, Juru's Joel Carneiro got a free kick in the 88th minute. A hard shot 90 in the game by Ricardo Arantes from a close distance when the talented Marcus Fantini managed to make a qualified save. Juru's players were relieved. If Gabriel Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
