Leonel Ortiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodolfo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfred Blind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Maranhense in the 28th minute of the match. Eduardo Chaves came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leonel Ortiz could save by the left post. In the 33rdth minute of the game Rodolfo Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luke Football Club's Wilfred Blind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Paulo Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Apiques's Leonel Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Apiques from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Leonel Ortiz made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Carlos Augusto Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luke Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Chaves in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonel Ortiz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Apiques's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Brasil came free, but Leonel Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Apiques's Gernando Penha got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Luke Football Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jerônimo Lira in the 57th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Apiques's goalie and right to Eduardo Chaves. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Apiques's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Apiques's Gernando Penha got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 62 played minutes Apiques got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Penha. Leonel Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Eduardo Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Luke Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Chaves couldn't finish the play. Leonel Ortiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Chaves's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Zé Paulo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eduardo Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Luke Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Chaves couldn't finish the play. If Eduardo Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfred Blind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Football Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
