The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Víktor Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Hamílton Pernambucano made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Víktor Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caipira SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Pernambucano having to interfere. Jaime Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Hamílton Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Valdo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jaime Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Pernambucano having to interfere. Valdo Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Paraíba in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Caipira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Paraíba came free, but Valdo Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Vascão Da Massa defense, Víktor Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamílton Pernambucano. The Vascão Da Massa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamílton Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. Valdo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Hamílton Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vascão Da Massa's Dráusio de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caipira SC's Víktor Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Dráusio de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gildo de Castro struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hamílton Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caipira SC. Walmir Diniz hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jaime Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Pernambucano having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Vascão Da Massa's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Mangueira came free, but Hamílton Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Jaime Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascão Da Massa's Hamílton Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles Paraíba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdo Almeida came out and tried to block the shot, but Charles Paraíba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 85th minute. In the 88th match minute, Vascão Da Massa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Nascimento took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamílton Pernambucano. Hamílton Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Vascão Da Massa's Hamílton Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Nascimento in the 96th minute of play. Caipira SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
