Suburbanos's players were relieved. 17 minutes into the game, one of Margarida EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Suburbanos. Chicão Secco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Valdo Mandrak. 1-1. Juan Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Mazza having to interfere. A collision led to Margarida EC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Durvalino Mumbach hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Margarida EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Ribeiro came free, but Valdo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chicão Secco took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdo Mandrak. Valdo Mandrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

In the 57th minute, Hélder Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Margarida EC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Pena. A hard shot by Chicão Secco from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Valdo Mandrak's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Juan Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd match minute, Suburbanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Juan Baiano struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rony Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarida EC. 68 minutes into the match, Suburbanos's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Baiano came free, but Rony Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Juan Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Margarida EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Baiano couldn't finish the play. Durvalino Mumbach was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Juan Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Suburbanos defense, Durvalino Mumbach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Mazza. The Suburbanos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Mazza should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Juan Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Murillo Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suburbanos's protests and gave Murillo Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Suburbanos getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Murillo Moreno hit a great ball. In the 95th match minute, Suburbanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
