Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui da Cunha took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when André Luiz Magalhães put in a rough tackle. In the 6th minute, 许霆凡 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Gruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Antunes. GAUCHO's Betão Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Moraes in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GAUCHO's zone, Adelino Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão Magalhães came out of the goal and Adelino Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Meirelles was a little too slow when Christian de Medeiros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Betão Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Moraes went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the game, Rui da Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lúcio Meirelles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rui da Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Lúcio Meirelles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. GAUCHO's Betão Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Moraes in the 38th minute of play. Lúcio Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Armando Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Lúcio Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gruzeiro FC's Teodoro Antunes got a free kick in the 45th minute. GAUCHO's Armando Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Moraes made a kick off. Adelino Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. GAUCHO were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Gruzeiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 许霆凡 took the corner. Christian de Medeiros made a great header on GAUCHO's corner, it was just that Gruzeiro FC's Lúcio Meirelles managed to reach the ball for a save. Paulão Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lúcio Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui da Cunha in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Armando Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Adelino Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 许霆凡 scored 4-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio Meirelles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Gruzeiro FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Enéas de Sena hit a great ball. Adelino Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Betão Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Adelino Moraes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. GAUCHO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gruzeiro FC for a fine match.
