If Osvaldinho Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ferramenta F. C's zone, Osvaldinho Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Cabral came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulinho Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Ferramenta F. C's goalkeeper Reinaldo Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Mangueira. The supporters of Ferramenta F. C booed when Irece FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulinho Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. Nilton Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Dito Branco sent off a good shot on target. Reinaldo Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Trancoso in the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Irece FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Maciel came free, but Nilton Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nilton Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Irece FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Maciel came free, but Nilton Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Irece FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Michel de Lara hit a great ball. Nilton Sampaio had great luck who in the 66thth minute grab hold of the ball when Laerte Maciel from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a little luck, Irece FC's Nilton Sampaio got control of the ball when Antônio Carlos Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Irece FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Maciel came free, but Nilton Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilton Sampaio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Laerte Maciel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 86 minute of play. Nilton Sampaio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Osvaldinho da Silveira. 92 minutes into the match, Irece FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Maciel came free, but Nilton Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Nilton Sampaio made a huge save. Nilton Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Osvaldinho Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Irece FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldinho Mangueira couldn't finish the play.
