The audience was convinced that Régis Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Vítor Godoi was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. A collision led to Santos F.C getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alberto Esteves hit a great ball. Kauffman PVH F.C's Edson Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Paiva in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Kauffman PVH F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Linhares to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes, Agostinho Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos F.C and the Kauffman PVH F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agostinho Campidelis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes of play Santos F.C's Agostinho Campidelis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Régis Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Kauffman PVH F.C's João Vítor Godoi threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Régis Maia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Maia in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Vítor Godoi saved Santos F.C from getting behind. Régis Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Godoi having to interfere. Santos F.C's João Vítor Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Santos F.C from getting a goal against them. Régis Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kauffman PVH F.C booed when Santos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Régis Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horácio Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Mota having to interfere. If Horácio Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Kauffman PVH F.C's Dadá Linhares got a free kick in the 65th minute. Túlio Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Vítor Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Régis Maia went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The Kauffman PVH F.C fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Kauffman PVH F.C's Régis Maia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Nestor Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kauffman PVH F.C's protests and gave Nestor Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kauffman PVH F.C's Nestor Guimarães got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Nestor Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Esteves in the 87th minute of the match. Dagoberto Esteves scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Vítor Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 92 minutes, Dagoberto Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kauffman PVH F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Régis Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
