Marquinhos Barros came out of the goal and Dorival Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes TEAM NAME got a freekick which was hit by Elder Castro. After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Lopes's zone, Wilson Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Abraão came out of the goal and Wilson Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dorival Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Gilmar Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorian Cunha hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. TEAM NAME's Marquinhos Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Andrade in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Esporte Clube Lopes booed when TEAM NAME was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, TEAM NAME's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Lara came free, but Marquinhos Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauã Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabiano Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Penha in the 82nd minute of the match. Dorival Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wilson Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TEAM NAME's protests and gave Wilson Mattos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to TEAM NAME getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Wilson Mattos hit a great ball. Kauã Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Barros having to interfere.
