Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Souzas FC's Gildo Soares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Blumenau EC defense, Gildo Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Cerezo. The Blumenau EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Cerezo should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Cléberson Zanette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blumenau EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Souzas FC the free kick. In the 8th minute, Cléberson Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Narciso Cerezo made a huge save. In the 9th match minute, Blumenau EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Meireles to maneuver through the defense. When Naldo Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blumenau EC's protests and gave Naldo Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Souzas FC booed when Blumenau EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gildo Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisinho Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Meireles in the 31st minute of play. Souzas FC's Josué Vides quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gustavo Dias, made in the 37th minute of the game. Narciso Cerezo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yan das Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. The supporters of Souzas FC booed when Blumenau EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naldo Meireles to make the kick off. Naldo Meireles did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Luisinho Chaves 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Souzas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Meireles came free, but Luisinho Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blumenau EC's Narciso Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Soares in the 59th minute of play. Luisinho Chaves came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Blumenau EC's Naldo Meireles. But to his dismay, Naldo Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 67th match minute, Souzas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleithon Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Moisés da Silva got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gildo Soares. Mustafa Emre Yöntem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Luisinho Chaves made a huge save. Naldo Meireles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Luisinho Chaves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Blumenau EC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Hamílton Quirino hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan das Neves in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Meireles in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisinho Chaves saved Souzas FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Blumenau EC's Albertinho Brasil got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Souzas FC had won after a very even match.
