The supporters of Jacuripe booed when Cajueiras SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Dadá Marquez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mathias Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Jacuripe's Betinho Albuquerque dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Mathias Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Mathias Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Senna in the 38th minute of play. Mathias Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Albuquerque in the 40th minute of the match. Sydney Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Arlindo Meira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mathias Freitas. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play.

In the 57th minute, Kiko Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacuripe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Betinho Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Freitas having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Betinho Albuquerque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mathias Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Robinho Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacuripe's Sydney Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Jacuripe from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jacuripe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tostão Maciel was slow to take the kick. During this time Cajueiras SS's players had a chance to rest. Leonardo Leão was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Armandinho Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Robinho Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sydney Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cajueiras SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jacuripe.
