Spectators: 3000 (Terracing: 3000, Seating: 0, VIP seats: 0) Juninho Arruda made the kick off and thus started the match. If Juninho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Otávio Correia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nildo Abraão. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Mattosinhos EC's Flavinho Cardoso made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Oséas Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mattosinhos EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Abreu couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Samuca Correia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachimba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mattosinhos EC the free kick. The supporters of Mattosinhos EC booed when Cachimba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Mattosinhos EC got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Abreu. Cachimba's Nildo Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Cachimba from getting a goal against them. If Flavinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Cachimba's goal looked a bit too open when Fernão Alves came free, but Nildo Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernão Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Fernão Alves came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mattosinhos EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernão Alves couldn't finish the play. In the 59thth minute of the game Fernão Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachimba's Nildo Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Cachimba defense, Otávio Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nildo Abraão. The Cachimba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nildo Abraão should have stopped the shot. If Otávio Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Mattosinhos EC's Fernão Alves in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cachimba's goalie prevented a goal. Flavinho Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Nildo Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattosinhos EC. Fernão Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Fernão Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nildo Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 76th minute, Otávio Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 minutes of play, Mattosinhos EC's Otávio Correia made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Mattosinhos EC's Fernão Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nildo Abraão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Fernão Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mattosinhos EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernão Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Mattosinhos EC were the better team. Mattosinhos EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
