In the 36thth minute of the game Henrique Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monstros FC's Luiz Gustavo Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute Luiz Gustavo Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Cuc´s were awarded a corner. Chico Loyola went to the cornerflag to take it. Chico Loyola made a great header on Cuc´s's corner, it was just that Monstros FC's Luiz Gustavo Paraense managed to reach the ball for a save. The Monstros FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuc´s were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manfredo Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. The Cuc´s supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cuc´s would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
