Gaviões Futebol Clube's Paulo José Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês da Rocha in the 9th minute of play. Hílton Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Saldanha having to interfere. Juarês da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Paulo José Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geraldo Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Hílton Maias short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Paulo José Saldanha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Hílton Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Tony Peixoto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaviões Futebol Clube and the romanvs players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gaviões Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tony Peixoto hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

A very good chance. romanvs's Hílton Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo José Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Juarês da Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The romanvs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of romanvs booed when Gaviões Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. romanvs's Hílton Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
