Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luizão Brodel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jefferson Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Brodel in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Piassava getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ernani Goiano hit a great ball. Jefferson Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Macaé S.C's Jefferson Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Macaé S.C from getting a goal against them. Luizão Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Marques having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Abel Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Pedro Massa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jefferson Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jefferson Marques came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Piassava's José Pedro Massa. But to his dismay, José Pedro Massa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jefferson Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Brodel in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Macaé S.C's zone, Luizão Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Marques came out of the goal and Luizão Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Marques having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Atlético Macaé S.C's goalkeeper Jefferson Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Cardozo. Atlético Macaé S.C's Jefferson Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Ribeiro in the 36th minute of play. Jefferson Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Goiano went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Ernani Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Massa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 43rd playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dorival Pombal made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Ernani Goiano in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Macaé S.C's Otávio Cearense. Luizão Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Marques having to interfere. Atlético Macaé S.C's Jefferson Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Massa in the 54th minute of play. Jefferson Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Brodel in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Atlético Macaé S.C got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Salles. Jefferson Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Goiano in the 60th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Dorival Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Macaé S.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piassava the free kick. Luizão Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Abel Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jefferson Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Macaé S.C's João Adolfo Salles managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ernani Goiano in the 67 minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Atlético Macaé S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Brodel came free, but Jefferson Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes of play, Piassava's Dedé Cardozo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson Marques was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Ediberto Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes, Piassava's José Pedro Massa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jefferson Marques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piassava reached it. Jefferson Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Goiano in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th minute Luizão Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Massa in the 84th minute of play forced Atlético Macaé S.C's goalkeeper Jefferson Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Pedro Massa scored 7-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dedé Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Ernani Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Piassava walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
