An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Toninho Lopes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Caimbombo's Horácio Ortiz got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ademir Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Lopes went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Itatiayassu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
