They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davi das Neves was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Guaçuano FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Paulo Bueno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 56thth minute of the game Percival da Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaçuano FC's Jânio Pena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Muriquioca's Fabiano Sabóia got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Ortiz in the 60th minute of play forced Muriquioca's goalkeeper Edmílson Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Guaçuano FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Soeiro. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guaçuano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vito Valadares was slow to take the kick. During this time Muriquioca's players had a chance to rest. When the final whistle sounded Muriquioca left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guaçuano FC.
