Vladimir de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Iuri de Queirós came free, but Joel Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis Coelho hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Pires to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Lucjan Ostrowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimir de Barros. Vitorinos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucjan Ostrowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iuri de Queirós in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Ferraz saved Laranja Mecânica F.C. from getting behind. Lucjan Ostrowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir de Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When Mathias Mandrak fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s protests and gave Mathias Mandrak a yellow card for diving instead. Lucjan Ostrowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir de Barros having to make a save. Laranja Mecânica F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
