With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Nascimento in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Lira saved Lufa from getting behind. Hermínio Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Alfredo Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Hermínio Lira made a huge save. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lufa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vinícius Aguiar was slow to take the kick. During this time S.C.PAULISTA's players had a chance to rest. Vinícius Aguiar made a great header on S.C.PAULISTA's corner, it was just that Lufa's Hermínio Lira managed to reach the ball for a save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmo Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hermínio Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Nascimento in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Nascimento in the 55th minute of play forced Lufa's goalkeeper Hermínio Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lufa's zone, Dalmo Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Lira came out of the goal and Dalmo Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Lira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Branco went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jonas Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lufa's zone, Jonas Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Lira came out of the goal and Jonas Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When S.C.PAULISTA's Fred Mendes in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lufa's goalie prevented a goal.
