Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdomiro Brasil started the match with the kick off. Fernandão Souza's late challenge caught a Velha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandão Souza helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in XV de Jaú fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! In the 15th minute Valdomiro Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, XV de Jaú's goalkeeper Kléberson Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Fontes. Cauan Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Kléberson Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Cauan Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XV de Jaú's Kléberson Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hernani Sá hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdomiro Brasil in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cauan Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Ribeiro having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Valdomiro Brasil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Durval Bezerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind XV de Jaú's goalkeeper Kléberson Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Cauan Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauan Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Cauan Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Cauan Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. XV de Jaú's Kléberson Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Fontes in the 62nd minute of play. Juan Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Ribeiro having to interfere. Cauan Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Kléberson Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velha. Durval Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to XV de Jaú getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Washington Fontes hit a great ball. In the 78th minute of the match Jerônimo das Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Ribeiro skillfully saved the ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind XV de Jaú's goalkeeper Kléberson Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in XV de Jaú's zone, Juan Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Ribeiro came out of the goal and Juan Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, XV de Jaú's Adelino Salles got a free kick in the 97th minute. XV de Jaú were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Velha's much stronger midfield.
